What is an PEF file?

PEF is extension of Pentax's RAW file format .PEF (.PEF), an PEF file is a RAW photo taken with an Pentax digital camera.

PEF files are used to store information of captured images including, camera sensor information, metadata such as EXIF ​​(lenses, focal lengths, shutter speeds, apertures, ISOs).

The data stored in the PEF file is uncompressed or lossless compressed data.
